It is really nice to be married to David. Being married to David feels really natural. It feels like in being married we are finally the way we always should have been. I am happy to be committed to David.
Gerring married was really nice. We were sealed in the Columbia River Temple. It felt amazing to create our eternal family. It was really profound to know that we have created something together that will extend through the eternities if we are faithful to our covenants.
Our reception was really nice too. I let my family take care of details so I could just relax and enjoy the day. We played fun games like the wedding shoe game and the newlywed game. We cut the cake, walked behind our flower girls, read a poem one of our guests wrote, and greeted as many of the guests we could. A lot of our guests stayed for a long time so that was fun.
It has been a very good and long break. I've been away from work and school work for two weeks now. David has stayed more occupied than me. He has been working on his research. I haven't stayed occupied with very much at all. I've read Animal Farm, listened to most of The Last Juror, a book on tape, moved into our new apartment, took care of a few errands, practiced using the bus system, and added more recipes to my book. I guess most of the rest of the time I have been relaxing - playing games with our families, watching shows I like, and goofing around. I kind of justify relaxing all the time by saying that getting myself good and rested and bored I will be excited and ready to work hard once the school year starts.
I'm pretty excited for school to start. My classes should be fun. It will be nice to challenge myself intellectually again. It feels like it has been forever since Spring term. I'm also pretty excited to go to church in our new ward. It will be fun to meet people. I hope David and I can make a couple friend to do dinner or games with.
Well, I'll be signing off for now; I should be back later.
